Emin can provide every essential manufacturing process for custom electronic products. However, we do not produce the electronic components applied on PCBs nor some specific patented components for electronic products, but still we have direct access to warehouse inventory which allows us to procure a variety of components for PCB assembly and electro-mechanical assembly.
In Taiwan, we source all kinds of component vendors. Our supply chain is comprised of component manufacturers and component distributors. Some of them are good at providing hard-to-find components, some are good at prompt lead time, and some are good at competitive pricing. Some have unique components that are for niche products, and some are exclusive dealers that provide patented components.
We maintain a minimum of 3 suppliers to supply our components (except in special circumstances such as exclusive supply). It is necessary for us to work with multiple vendors to prevent a situation where a single supplier may be unable to fulfill our orders. Also, we have the ability to compare prices and delivery dates which allows us to select the most competitive supplier.
We conduct strict supplier management measures to ensure that our suppliers capacity is sufficient to meet our needs and that their quality levels comply with industry standards and meet all environmental and safety requirements.
In order to determine whether to collaborate with the new suppliers, we must make sure they are able to meet our expectation standards in key areas such as punctuality, flexible lead time and deliveries, trustworthy product quality, after sales service and so on. When we do business with new suppliers, we first evaluate their general quality and investigate their reputation in the market and then carefully observe their performance during the initial trial period.
We conduct regular performance assessments and supplier qualification re-assessments for all of our current suppliers. We also keep records of the supplier’s performance, including efficiency, quality, and order fill rate.
Our long term suppliers records are evaluated over a period of time to ensure that they are maintaining their standards. In order to maintain their status as long term suppliers, their records will need to show that they continue to charge competitive prices, provide quality components and deliver on time.
EMIN has a strong supplier chain as we maintain our current suppliers and keep looking for competitive suppliers to best suit all needs from customers. We strive to have adequate suppliers for many different components to provide the best solution to customers. Our strong supply chain is our invaluable asset. We regard our suppliers as members of our team. We never treat our suppliers with condescending thinking or attitude, we treat them as they are one of us.
